A Lot Like Birds release new song ‘For Shelly (Unheard)’

A Lot Like Birds have released the first song off their upcoming record DIVISI, called ‘For Shelly (Unheard).’ This is the first song released by the band since the departure of co-vocalist Kurt Travis (ex-Dance Gavin Dance), leaving co-vocalist Cody Lockwood to take over all vocal duties for the band.

The song is about the death of Cody Lockwood’s mother during the recording of this album and sees the band toning down the dissonance of their previous two albums for a more melodic and ambient sound. This song sees vocalist Cody Lockwood showing off his singing for the first time, with this song having exclusively clean vocals, and having a strong resemblance to Kurt Travis.

Pre-orders for DIVISI can be found at merchnow.
