Upcoming Brisbane metalcore band Deadlights have released the second track, Attitude and Longitude, off their upcoming debut album Mesma, which is to be released April 21st through Greyscale Records.
Attitude and Longitude shows off the vocal combination of vocalist Dylan Davidson and clean vocalist/guitarist Tynan Reibelt, seamlessly trading off screaming and singing throughout the whole track as the band churns out chunky, dissonant riffs in the background. Deadlights shows off their diverse range of influences throughout this track, such as Saosin-style cleans and the breakdown at 0:51 sounding like something out of a Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza track.
This is good stuff from an upcoming Australian band that has an enormous amount of talent and hopefully will be blowing up this year.
Mesma is available for pre-order here.
